Job Description
ITT Inc. (NYSE: ITT) is a diversified global leader specializing in highly engineered critical components and customized technology solutions for a broad spectrum of industries including flow, aerospace and defense, transportation, industrial, and energy markets. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, ITT boasts a market capitalization of approximately 20 billion dollars. With a dedicated workforce exceeding 15,000 employees across more than 40 countries, ITT effectively serves customers in roughly 125 countries worldwide. The company's strategic acquisitions, such as that of SPX FLOW, have bolstered its capabilities, projecting an annual revenue of about 5.4 billion dollars. This extensive reach and comprehensive industry engagement have positioned ITT as a trusted partner in delivering innovative and dependable solutions that sustain and enhance vital industries responsible for our contemporary way of life.
ITT operates through three primary segments, each ingrained with its core engineering expertise. The Flow Technologies segment provides a comprehensive range of pumps, valves, mixing and agitation equipment, heat transfer systems, homogenizers, separation technologies, water and wastewater treatment solutions, as well as engineered process components. Iconic brands under this segment include Goulds Pumps, with a proud history spanning over 175 years, alongside Anhydro, APV, Bornemann, Bran+Luebbe, and several others.
The Motion Technologies segment holds leadership in manufacturing brake pads suitable for both internal combustion engine and electrified vehicles, as well as shock absorbers designed for energy absorption in transportation applications. Key brands in this category are Friction Technologies, KONI, and Axtone. Meanwhile, the Connect and Control Technologies segment specializes in critical applications for aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors, providing harsh environment connectors and precision control components. Prominent brands here include ITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls, and kSARIA.
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Inspector at ITT plays a vital role in maintaining the company's commitment to excellence by ensuring rigorous quality standards throughout the manufacturing and production processes. This role involves detailed inspection of products at various stages to verify conformity with specifications and industry norms, identifying defects, deviations, and other non-conformances promptly and accurately. Your role will be instrumental in supporting ITT's reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
The QA Inspector will employ a variety of measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, measure scopes, and drop indicators, alongside the use of microscopes, to conduct precise visual and dimensional evaluations. You will maintain meticulous records, documenting findings and ensuring compliance with established procedures. Beyond technical skills, the position emphasizes teamwork, safety consciousness, and the ability to learn and adhere to internal protocols and systems. As safety remains a core value at ITT, active participation in safety training, workplace inspections, and job safety analyses is a key component of daily responsibilities. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.77 to $30.77, complemented by a comprehensive benefits plan, reflecting ITT's philosophy of fair and competitive pay tied to performance and alignment with company values.
