Job Description
Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) is a globally recognized leader in the collectibles market, established in 1987. Specializing in third-party authentication and grading services, CCG plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of collectibles, empowering buyers and sellers worldwide to make confident transactions. The company has certified over 110 million items ranging from coins and banknotes to comic books, trading cards, stamps, video games, and autographs. With operations spanning the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, United Arab Emirates, and China, CCG has positioned itself as a trusted authority in the collectibles industry.
The role of Quality Control Specialist within the CGC Cards team is essential for ensuring the precise and timely production of collectible labels that are integral to the grading process. Based in Sherwood, OR, this full-time, on-site position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm. The specialist will engage in printing label orders using specialized equipment and software, operate automated cutting machines to meet production specifications, and conduct meticulous inspections of labels for accuracy and print quality. This role demands a keen eye to detect errors or defects such as smudges, misalignment, or incorrect colors, ensuring only flawless labels proceed through the grading process.
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will maintain consistent accuracy and efficiency while performing repetitive yet critical production tasks. Meeting daily productivity goals in a fast-paced environment is key, alongside documenting and communicating any quality or production issues to supervisors. The position also involves utilizing various computer systems and scanners to manage order processing, adhering strictly to established quality control procedures, and maintaining an organized, efficient workspace. Collaboration with team members to guarantee timely completion of production objectives is vital for success in this role.
This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in detail-oriented, target-driven environments and possess strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. A background in production, manufacturing, quality control, or printing environments is highly desirable, especially with experience in label printing or quality inspection. Additionally, knowledge of collectibles such as sports cards, trading card games, or non-sports trading cards will be considered a significant advantage. CCG offers a competitive hourly rate of $23, a full benefits package including medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan, and opportunities for career development and learning.
Beyond the tangible benefits, this role provides an opportunity to join a passionate and inclusive team dedicated to excellence in the collectibles industry. CCG fosters a diverse workplace culture that values innovation and equal opportunity, inviting candidates from various backgrounds to contribute to the company’s ongoing success and growth. If you’re enthusiastic about quality control and the collectibles field, this position offers a fulfilling and dynamic career pathway within an internationally respected organization.
