Job Description
Kettle Cuisine is a leading company in the food manufacturing industry, renowned for its commitment to creating fresh, healthy, and artisan-quality food products that unite people through the joy of eating. We focus on the craft of artisan cooking by using scratch-made stocks, hand-chopped herbs, and only the highest-quality ingredients. Our innovative use of cutting-edge technology ensures that we deliver consistently safe, exceptional products on a large scale, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Our company culture is deeply rooted in values that foster both personal and professional growth. We prioritize Honoring Development by actively seeking out and celebrating the talents, strengths, and interests of our team members. This commitment helps us build stronger relationships and enhance our collective capabilities, empowering each individual to thrive and succeed. We also emphasize Honoring Each Other, creating a supportive and respectful work environment where collaboration and mutual respect are fundamental. Our passionate team members are united by their love for great food and dedication to excellence, making it a fulfilling place to work.
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector at Kettle Cuisine plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our products. This position is responsible for reviewing and verifying product labeling to ensure full compliance with both internal standards and regulatory requirements such as FDA and USDA guidelines. The QC Inspector verifies label contents including product name, lot numbers, expiration dates, and allergen information. They approve or reject labels based on inspection criteria and maintain accurate, traceable records of all label inspections. Additionally, the role involves participating in investigations related to labeling errors, deviations, and corrective actions.
In addition to label verification, the QC Inspector supports and promotes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), safety protocols, and comprehensive food safety programs including HACCP, FSMA, and Preventive Controls. The position requires troubleshooting and escalating issues with the vision system, collecting data for quality improvement through statistical process controls, and assisting with investigations and troubleshooting for food safety and quality concerns.
Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Quality Control Inspector must maintain strong working relationships with various departments, return supplies to proper storage, and adhere strictly to safety regulations. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to handle complex tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. The QC Inspector influences moderate levels of revenue by ensuring products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance.
The position is based at the Everett, WA location and offers a base pay range of $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, reflecting qualifications, experience, and performance. Kettle Cuisine also provides a comprehensive benefits package, fostering a supportive work environment that upholds employee well-being and professional growth. We are an equal opportunity employer compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state disability laws, committed to inclusive hiring practices and the development of all team members.
If you are passionate about food safety, quality control, and want to join a company that values innovation, development, and respect, Kettle Cuisine offers an exciting and rewarding career opportunity where your contributions truly matter.
