Teya Enterprises, LLC is a reputable company operating primarily in the construction industry, with a focus on federal Defense Base (DB) and Design-Build (DBB) construction projects. The company is known for its commitment to quality, excellence in execution, and strict compliance with federal standards. Operating in Hampton, VA, Teya Enterprises manages multiple high-profile projects that require stringent adherence to quality control protocols and meticulous project oversight. Teya Enterprises and its subsidiaries pride themselves on offering career growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and fostering a professional work environment in the federal construction sector. Their dedication to employee wellbeing is evident in their comprehensive benefits package that includes Federal Employee Health Benefits medical insurance, paid time off, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching. The company also emphasizes internal career progression and continuous employee development, making it an attractive employer for professionals seeking long-term career prospects within the construction and federal contracting arena.
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) role at Teya Enterprises is a critical position responsible for ensuring all quality control processes on federal construction projects meet strict contract and regulatory standards. The QCM will play a pivotal role in overseeing subcontractor submittals, processing, and tracking documentation essential for maintaining compliance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) quality control phases. This position requires developing and implementing the Construction Quality Control (CQC) plans, which are foundational to guaranteeing project quality from initial design through completion. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in quality management within the federal construction industry, with proficiency in project management software and a comprehensive understanding of general construction practices including renovations, new construction, site development, and excavation.
Working onsite in Hampton, VA, the Quality Control Manager will coordinate between multiple stakeholders including government officials, Teya management teams, and subcontractor staff to facilitate smooth communication and efficient project completion. Responsibilities also include conducting daily inspections of ongoing work, maintaining quality control logs and metrics, interpreting quality test data, and ensuring the entire team adheres to company and contractual quality standards. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills for interaction at all levels of management and personnel. Qualified candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DISCO Secret Clearance or higher, along with the ability to access military installations, highlighting the sensitive and high-security nature of projects handled by Teya Enterprises.
Candidates for this position are expected to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or have over 20 years of relevant experience. Certification in Construction Quality Management for Contractors is mandatory, and familiarity with OSHA 30, while preferred, is not essential. The company encourages individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and have a thorough understanding of quality control standards and federal construction requirements to apply. Teya Enterprises provides a supportive work environment with competitive remuneration and benefits, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals committed to quality and excellence in federal construction projects.
