Job Description
Kovach Enclosure Systems is a premier facade and enclosure contractor recognized as one of the nation’s leading firms in the field. Boasting decades of excellence, Kovach has built its reputation on strong client and vendor relationships, a dedicated team of over 350 professionals spread across multiple states, and an impressive annual revenue approaching $95 million. The company’s portfolio includes a diverse range of high-profile projects such as airports, universities, resorts, and entertainment venues – all making a significant impact on skylines and infrastructure throughout the country. Kovach is not only committed to delivering quality and innovation in every project but equally dedicated to fostering a work environment where employees thrive, grow, and take genuine pride in their contributions. The company’s culture centers on core values like positivity, ownership, expertise, and grit, which guide its teams to success in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
Kovach is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager for its Metal Division to support its dynamic and growing operations. This full-time position plays a pivotal role in driving excellence in facade installation across Kovach’s projects. The ideal candidate is a field-experienced metal facade professional who truly understands that quality is not just about final inspection but is inherently built into the installation process itself. The focus of this role is to ensure that all metal panel systems, flashing, waterproofing, and related components are installed correctly from the outset — preventing costly mistakes and rework by working closely with field teams.
The Quality Control Manager will perform hands-on job site inspections on active metal facade projects, working side-by-side with foremen, superintendents, and project managers to verify that installations meet project specifications and industry standards. This includes helping identify potential quality issues early in the process and collaborating on corrective measures to resolve them proactively. In addition to inspections, the role requires assisting with mockups, first-article inspections, and critical installation milestones to reinforce best practices consistently across projects.
Documentation is another crucial part of this role, as the Quality Control Manager will be responsible for generating detailed digital inspection reports and effectively communicating findings with project teams. This role also emphasizes the support and enforcement of rigorous standards of work and installation best practices, promoting a proactive quality culture focused on prevention rather than correction.
Travel to project sites as needed forms part of the position to ensure ongoing field support and oversight. The manager will also engage in ASTM water testing procedures including AAMA 501.2 nozzle testing and ASTM E1105 field water penetration testing, collaborating with third-party testing agencies, general contractors, and project teams to confirm compliance and address any deficiencies found.
Overall, Kovach offers a unique opportunity to be part of an industry-leading company that blends strong technical expertise, innovative solutions, and a genuine commitment to employee success. The company provides competitive benefits including a 401(k) matching program, comprehensive dental and health insurance, a health savings account, paid time off, life and vision insurance, and an employee assistance program — all underscoring Kovach’s dedication to its team members’ well-being and professional development. Joining Kovach means becoming part of a growing enterprise that values continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork in its quest to set the highest standards in facade construction.
