Jensen Infrastructure combines the benefits of a close-knit small company culture with the resources and reach of a larger corporation, fostering an environment where every employee's contributions are valued and opportunities for career growth are abundant. The company is committed to equal employment opportunities and accommodates reasonable needs during the hiring process, reflecting their inclusive workplace culture.
The role on offer is a Quality Control Technician position focused on concrete manufacturing processes, with key responsibilities including reviewing products during pre-pour and post-pour inspections to maintain high quality standards, ensuring all processes meet stringent Quality Control Standards. This position involves active collaboration with production teams, including foremen, supervisors, and managers, to identify and correct deficiencies before further production. The technician will be responsible for sampling concrete daily for parameters such as slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight, recording test results meticulously, and making recommendations to improve product quality. An essential part of the role is inspecting rebar cages, block outs, inserts, and other components against production drawings and specifications. The technician must also conduct final inspections after concrete pouring and document findings accurately.
Candidates for this role should be motivated, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious, thriving in a fast-paced environment. The company looks for individuals seeking a long-term career with Jensen Infrastructure, offering an opportunity to showcase their skills in a supportive and investing environment. The role demands a strong adherence to quality and safety standards, avoiding shortcuts and ensuring the team’s well-being. The position requires obtaining the ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician-Grade 1 certification within six months of employment, and it is preferred that candidates hold 1-2 years of experience in concrete manufacturing. Familiarity with industry standards such as ACI, ASTM, NPCA, and PCI manuals is important, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for effective communication and record keeping. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality assurance in concrete production and eager to contribute to infrastructure that serves communities across multiple states.
