The Quality Control Inspector role at AMETEK TMC is an essential position that upholds the company’s rigorous quality standards to ensure all products meet specifications before reaching customers. This role demands working closely with the production teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, thoroughly inspecting materials, components, and finished goods. The inspector plays a pivotal role in maintaining product accuracy and quality adherence, utilizing an array of measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances. The position involves reviewing blueprints and technical specifications to confirm that all quality requirements are met throughout the production process.

Quality Control Inspectors are responsible for documenting inspection results meticulously, identifying any defects or deviations, and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality concerns. They also participate in first article inspections and feedback sessions with supply chain and engineering teams to ensure continuous process improvement. Identifying non-conforming materials and segregating them for corrective action forms part of the core duties. Furthermore, inspectors support continuous improvement programs by identifying opportunities to enhance quality and reduce defects, helping AMETEK maintain its leadership in high-precision manufacturing.

This role also involves ensuring the proper understanding and adherence to quality procedures and standards by collaborating with production staff. Inspectors are tasked with maintaining accurate records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions, while also assisting with the calibration and upkeep of inspection tools to guarantee measurement accuracy. A commitment to safety is critical, with all quality control activities needing to be conducted safely and compliantly.

The position is hourly based with a competitive salary range from $50,000 to $70,000 per year, reflecting the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
