Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a respected nationwide organization dedicated to providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities, including our respected war-wounded veterans. Since its founding in 1986, GCE has played an instrumental role in bridging the gap between talented job seekers with disabilities and career opportunities across multiple sectors. The organization serves a diverse clientele, including the U.S. military, commercial business entities, community partners, and various levels of government — federal, state, and local. Its commitment to the Ability One mission reflects a strong dedication to fostering inclusive workplaces and creating supportive environments where all team members can thrive. GCE stands as one of the leading private employers of persons with disabilities in the United States, showcasing its unwavering commitment to empowering all individuals in the workforce.
The Custodial Quality Control Inspector position at GCE carries vital responsibilities in ensuring adherence to the GCE Quality Control Plan (QCP) with respect to performance standards established at the designated worksites. This role demands a diligent, detail-oriented professional capable of inspecting custodial services for quality, timeliness, and compliance. The Inspector works closely with the Project Manager and operational personnel, setting clear performance objectives and ensuring the highest standards in custodial operations are consistently met. A key facet of this role involves handling customer feedback meticulously by investigating complaints, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions to address any identified deficiencies. This role is pivotal in maintaining client satisfaction and operational excellence within GCE's custodial service contracts.
The role requires strong communication skills, both oral and written, to efficiently report findings and liaise with team members and customers. The Custodial Quality Control Inspector must possess an in-depth understanding of custodial practices with a minimum of two years’ experience in this field. Additionally, a comprehensive understanding of the Ability One mission and expectations is essential to align daily activities with the organizational goals of supporting individuals with disabilities. Physical ability is required to perform custodial-related tasks and move across various work locations. This role may require working various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the flexibility to work indoors or in diverse weather conditions when necessary. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory since travel to different sites may be part of the job.
Those interested in this rewarding opportunity will join an inclusive workplace that values diversity, continuously fostering the growth and success of veterans and individuals with disabilities. GCE offers a supportive environment and promotes the values of teamwork, respect, and quality service. The company is an equal opportunity employer and actively encourages applicants with disabilities and veterans to apply. Drug testing is required as part of maintaining a safe and professional work setting. For those motivated to make a significant impact through their role in custodial quality control, this position offers a meaningful career pathway aligned with a purposeful mission.
