Job Description

Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide organization committed to providing meaningful employment opportunities to individuals with significant disabilities, including our respected war-wounded veterans. Since its founding in 1986, GCE has established itself as one of the largest private employers of persons with disabilities across the United States. The organization serves an extensive network of clients that range from the U.S. military to various commercial businesses and government entities at the federal, state, and local levels. GCE is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment where diversity is celebrated, and every employee has the opportunity to thrive professionally and personally. The company’s mission centers on empowering individuals with disabilities through steady employment, skill development, and community engagement.

The Custodial Quality Control Inspector role at GCE is critical in maintaining the high standards of service expected by our clients. This position focuses on overseeing the adherence to the GCE Quality Control Plan (QCP) as it applies to custodial performance standards at specific assigned worksites. The QC Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that cleaning services are carried out effectively, defects and discrepancies are promptly identified and addressed, and customer satisfaction remains a top priority. Responsibilities include inspecting custodial work for quality, timeliness, and compliance with contract terms as well as investigating and analyzing customer complaints to provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

This role requires a highly detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of custodial services and a commitment to upholding quality benchmarks. The QC Inspector must work closely with Project Managers and operational staff to communicate performance objectives clearly and ensure these objectives are met. In addition to technical competence, the position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to foster strong teamwork, and the physical ability to perform various custodial tasks. Given the nature of the organization, there is also an emphasis on respect, inclusion, and support for veterans and people with disabilities. This is a role that not only impacts the cleanliness and upkeep of facilities but also supports a larger mission of social inclusion and workforce diversity. Applicants should expect a dynamic work environment where schedules can vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet contract requirements. Safety and compliance with organizational policies, including drug testing and background screening, are mandatory. Joining GCE as a Custodial Quality Control Inspector means becoming part of a dedicated team that values quality, integrity, and community service while making a tangible difference in the lives of team members and clients alike.
