Job Description
ABM is a leading global provider of facility services and solutions dedicated to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment. Established in 1909, the company has grown to serve over 20,000 clients, generating nearly $8 billion in annual revenue, and employs more than 100,000 team members across over 350 offices worldwide, including locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Republic of Ireland. ABM's extensive service offerings span janitorial services, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions. Its client base encompasses a diverse array of industries such as commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor role at ABM is a pivotal position that entails overseeing evening and after-hours janitorial operations across multiple client sites. This supervisory role requires a partnership with the Field Operations Manager to maintain exemplary service quality, staffing continuity, and strict contract compliance while ensuring outstanding client satisfaction. Operating primarily during PM shift hours, the Quality Assurance Supervisor conducts proactive account inspections, responds to service concerns or emergencies, facilitates employee onboarding and training, manages staffing coverage issues, and acts as the main operational liaison.
Compensation for this role ranges from $50,000 to $55,000 annually, with possible eligibility for performance-based incentives or bonuses depending on experience, skills, and geographic location. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package to support its employees' well-being and professional growth.
This role demands strong leadership and problem-solving skills to balance the needs of multiple sites and teams effectively. Responsibilities include conducting scheduled and surprise inspections to ensure cleaning adherence, safety compliance, and supply adequacy. The supervisor must document findings meticulously, take corrective action or escalate issues as necessary, and maintain positive working relationships with building security, property management, tenants, and cleaning staff. Managing complaints and urgent client requests in a timely and professional manner is critical, as is supporting new account startups by ensuring smooth transitions and providing on-site coaching during initial service periods.
Furthermore, the Quality Assurance Supervisor manages staffing challenges, including call-outs and no-shows, by securing replacement labor or providing hands-on support when needed. Maintaining clear communication about staffing activities and risks is essential to sustaining uninterrupted service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with preference given to those holding an associate's or bachelor's degree related to business or operations. Experience of 1-2 years in a supervisor or lead role within janitorial or facilities management is required, alongside the ability to manage multiple accounts. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication capabilities, and proficiency with mobile technology for reporting are critical for success. Availability for afternoon and evening shifts, a valid driver's license, and the physical ability to perform site inspections are necessary. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus given the workforce demographics.
Joining ABM means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive work environment that values every team member's contributions. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities and participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program. It also proudly supports military veterans, offering them pathways to meaningful civilian careers through specialized training and development programs.
This opportunity offers candidates not only a chance to lead and make a tangible impact on client satisfaction but also the support of a respected, well-established company dedicated to excellence in service and employee growth.
