Job Requirements
- reliable attendance and willingness to learn
- ability to maintain safe practices and comply with PPE requirements
- ability to work in temperatures between 40°F and 80°F for extended hours
- capability to perform physically intense tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects
- ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for long periods
- flexibility to work overtime including weekends
- strong communication skills
- basic understanding of GMP, HACCP, and SSOP
- knowledge of root cause analysis
- commitment to workplace safety
Job Qualifications
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to speak, read, and write in English
- general understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP), HACCP, and SSOP
- knowledge of root cause analysis (5-whys) and understanding of deviation management
- critical thinking and decision-making skills
- reliability and dependability
- preferred high school diploma
- computer knowledge
- prior experience with HACCP, SSOP, and GMP
- past work in meat or food processing environment
- ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting
- ability to identify food safety violations or product quality issues
Job Duties
- perform monitoring and verification activities of food safety and quality assurance systems
- troubleshoot issues related to HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs
- enforce good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- conduct food safety and quality assurance audits
- ensure employee safety procedures are followed
- collect and analyze data related to food safety
- perform all other duties assigned by supervisor, manager, or director
