The QC Lab Technician role at Bakelite is a critical position within the organization that ensures the quality and consistency of raw materials, in-process compounds, and finished products used in the manufacturing process. This role demands a meticulous individual skilled in chemical testing and laboratory instrumentation within a dynamic and fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment. The technician will perform various inspections and chemical tests to support production and shipping operations, maintaining traceability of all materials tested. The position involves working with modern lab instruments, performing routine calibrations and preventative maintenance, generating certificates of analysis, and ensuring that all test results are recorded accurately in the company’s lab computer systems.

Beyond technical duties, the QC Lab Technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe lab environment, training fellow technicians on procedures and instrumentation, and collaborating with the team to improve testing quality and consistency.
