Job Description

The QC Technician role at Meridian Adhesives Group involves performing and overseeing quality control tests on manufactured batches to ensure product quality and adherence to all specifications. This position is responsible for conducting quality assurance tests on incoming raw materials, meticulously collecting and analyzing data, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all processes comply with regulatory standards. The technician will maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory, perform preventative maintenance on equipment, and coordinate calibration and inspection activities as needed. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to write, review, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), process guides, and quality protocols to meet stringent quality standards. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office and quality databases.

This full-time, second-shift position is located in Las Vegas with working hours from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The hourly pay range is $21 to $24, depending on experience and other factors. Meridian offers additional bonus pay opportunities related to safety, quality, and financial performance metrics, allowing eligible employees to earn up to $1,520 annually, paid quarterly.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years QC (Quality Control) experience in an industrial environment
  • Associates or Technical Degree from a four-year college or university
  • or three to five years related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with polymer technology a plus

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify product quality and compliance with specifications
  • Responsible for the verification of batches to all specifications
  • Meticulously record, interpret, and communicate test results to ensure accurate documentation ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare test samples and solutions to ensure analyses are conducted under standardized conditions
  • Maintain laboratory instruments, perform routine calibration, and ensure equipment is functioning correctly to guarantee reliable test results
  • Responsible for the calibration of mechanical/electrical components for testing as required including all records, both written and computer
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), good laboratory practices (GLPs), and safety protocols to handle potentially hazardous substances safely and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve quality issues, contribute to the development of new testing methods, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure that any rejected goods that are identified have the applicable paperwork completed and the appropriate parties notified
  • Responsible for re-inspection of previously rejected material
  • Responsible for QC function in handling stock pulls and retains
  • Ensures all shipments requiring inspections are complete and accurate
  • Maintain QC database
  • Other duties as assigned
