The Quality Inspector role at ISC Electric, based in New Albany, Ohio, positions the successful candidate as a critical part of ensuring project integrity and compliance with engineering specifications and client expectations. This position requires a versatile individual capable of performing detailed inspections of electrical and instrument installations. The role demands the inspector to verify conformity with current drawings, standards, and safety codes throughout the construction phases. ISC Electric seeks candidates who can effectively collaborate with field supervisors, clients, and contractor teams ensuring seamless adherence to quality protocols. The inspector is responsible for comprehensive audits of field drawings, validation of instrument calibrations, and overseeing tests such as cable hi-pot and pressure tests, along with maintaining accurate inspection records.

The ideal Quality Inspector at ISC Electric will possess technical knowledge in engineering, procurement, construction, inspection, and testing processes relevant to electrical and instrumentation installations. Candidates should have at least six years of related experience in industrial electrical/instrumentation work and a minimum of two years in quality assurance/control. Additional requirements include NCCER accreditation and familiarity with industry codes and standards. Job Requirements

  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background checks
  • Technical knowledge in engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, inspection and testing processes
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to electrical and instrumentation installation and testing
  • Achieved NCCER accreditation in Electrical or Instrumentation
  • Six years related experience in electrical and instrumentation industrial work
  • Two years of quality assurance/control experience in fabrication, testing or installation of electrical and instrumentation systems

Job Qualifications

  • NCCER accreditation in Electrical or Instrumentation
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to electrical and instrumentation installations
  • Minimum of 6 years related experience in electrical and instrumentation industrial work
  • At least 2 years of quality assurance/control experience in fabrication, testing, or installation of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Technical knowledge in engineering, procurement, construction, inspection and testing processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervision, clients and contractor teams
  • Strong team player with self-motivation and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Inspect all instrument and electrical installations to ensure compliance with drawings, client standards and code
  • Interact with field supervision to verify installations during construction
  • Conduct drawing audits to ensure use of current revisions
  • Witness testing of cable hi-pots, megs, pressure testing, calibrations, and inspections
  • Keep detailed records of inspections and report findings
  • Spot check materials and tools for compliance and calibration
  • Maintain a log of discrepancies and report as punch lists to QA/QC management
