Job Description

Master's Transportation is a well-established, privately owned company with over 30 years of experience in providing trusted commercial transportation solutions across the United States. With one of the largest fleets in the country, the company offers customized services including sales, rental, leasing, financing, service, and repair solutions tailored to a wide range of industries such as education, hospitality, senior living, camps, and more. Known for its commitment to excellence, integrity, safety, and a solution-oriented approach, Master's Transportation has positioned itself as a leader in the commercial transportation sector. Employees at Master's Transportation are valued for their contributions, encouraged to bring forward innovative ideas, and supported in their professional growth. The company proudly fosters a culture where the impact of each team member's work is acknowledged and celebrated, making it a place where personal and career development are integral to the work environment.

The role of Public Sector Regional Sales Manager is a full-time, exempt position that reports directly to the Director of Public Sector Sales. This position offers a base salary plus commission, reflecting the responsibility and impact of the role. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required to accommodate travel, customer meetings, industry events, and other business needs. The work location varies depending on the assigned region, emphasizing the need for travel and customer engagement throughout the territory.

As the Public Sector Regional Sales Manager, the successful candidate will proactively develop assigned regions by identifying, creating, and securing new business opportunities within public sector and government markets. The role focuses on building and nurturing relationships with municipalities, transit agencies, school districts, state and local government entities, and other public organizations that purchase transportation vehicles such as shuttle buses and passenger vans. This position requires managing the complete sales cycle – from prospecting and lead development to presentations, product recommendations, pricing negotiations, contract coordination, order fulfillment, and post-sale follow-up. The manager will monitor procurement opportunities such as bids, RFPs, cooperative purchasing programs, and government contracts to ensure the company is well positioned to secure new business before formal solicitations are released.

Working closely with internal teams including sales leadership, operations, finance, and fulfillment, the Public Sector Regional Sales Manager plays a critical role in expanding market presence and driving revenue growth. The role demands a strong sales acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a results-driven mindset. Regular travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays and occasional weekend or evening commitments, is expected to effectively develop the territory, conduct vehicle demonstrations, attend trade shows and industry events, and support relationship management. This position also requires diligent documentation of all sales activities in Salesforce to maintain updated records of customer interactions, sales forecasts, and pipeline development.

Overall, this role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about sales and public sector markets, and who wish to contribute to a growing company dedicated to moving people and organizations forward with superior transportation solutions.
