The Housekeeping Room Attendant role at Hyatt Regency Houston-Downtown is a critical position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel's public areas. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that assigned common areas are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to the highest standards. Your daily duties will include greeting guests with a friendly demeanor, responding to their questions or concerns, and maintaining the cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, restrooms, and other public spaces.

In this role, you will engage in tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, emptying trash containers, and replenishing supplies in public areas. Attention to detail is essential, as the appearance of these shared spaces directly impacts guests' perceptions of the hotel’s quality and hospitality. You will also be responsible for reporting any technical issues or maintenance needs promptly, ensuring that the facilities remain in excellent condition. At the end of each shift, duties include returning and restocking the cleaning cart, preparing for the next day’s operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
