The Public Area Attendant role at Schulte Hospitality Group is a pivotal position dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of hotel public spaces. This role is essential for supporting the high standards expected by guests and ensuring that the hotel's environment is inviting and well-maintained. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning various shared spaces including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, lobbies, elevators, and the front desk area. Duties involve dusting furniture and pictures, vacuuming and mopping floors, emptying carts of soiled linen, disposing of trash, and polishing fixtures. In addition to cleaning tasks, the role requires maintaining efficient communication through two-way radios to prioritize and manage daily assignments effectively.

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain all hotel public areas including restrooms, hallways, stairwells to meet quality standards
  • Clean bathrooms, dust furniture and pictures, vacuum, sweep and mop floors
  • Empty carts of soiled linen and dispose trash
  • Maintain efficient communication on two-way radio to prioritize tasks
  • Maintain lobby, elevators, stairways, hallways, and front desk area to keep them clean, neat and free of rubbish and debris
  • Clean and maintain public restrooms to provide fresh and attractive facilities, checking hourly to ensure cleanliness
  • Remove spots, insects and debris, polish fixtures and clean ashtrays
  • Deliver items to rooms upon request and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
  • Perform various other duties as assigned
