The role of Public Area Attendant at Kinseth Hospitality Companies is vital to preserving the cleanliness and overall appeal of all public areas within the hotel. This position primarily involves ensuring that foyers, stairwells, corridors, public restrooms, and vending zones are spotless and hygienic, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and visitors. The Public Area Attendant supports Room Attendants by assisting with pre-cleaning and sanitization tasks within guest rooms when needed, further contributing to the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and quality. This role requires physical stamina and mobility to perform various manual cleaning tasks efficiently and the professionalism to interact courteously with guests by providing directions, answering questions, and enhancing their experience.
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for emptying trash receptacles in public spaces, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and managing the cleanliness of walls, doors, mirrors, and elevator fixtures. Special attention is given to maintaining the appearance of corridor walls and door numbers. Additionally, this position includes ensuring the sanitary condition of public restrooms, assisting the housekeeping team as needed, and reporting any suspicious activities or hazardous conditions to the Safety/Security Department for prompt action. The role also involves providing essential guidance to guests and employees during emergency situations, exemplifying a commitment to safety and security as part of the hotel's operational protocols.

Job Duties
- Empty trash from public spaces
- Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers
- Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors
- Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator door and buttons
- Assist with pre-cleaning sanitizing of guest rooms
- Cleaning and sanitizing of public spaces
- Assist houseperson when necessary
- Clean public restrooms
- Respond to guest questions
- Provide guest assistance, directions, and information as requested
- Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc., to the Safety/Security Department
- Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations
