The role of Public Area Attendant at Hilton is a critical position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the hotel's public spaces. This role goes beyond routine housekeeping as it embodies the essence of hospitality by spreading warmth and creating memorable experiences for every guest who steps into the hotel. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for keeping all designated public areas spotless including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces. Daily tasks include dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and emptying trash.

In addition to maintaining a pristine environment, you will play an important role in guest relations by greeting guests warmly, responding to their questions, and promptly resolving service requests to ensure a welcoming and comfortable stay. The position also includes support for housekeeping operations, assisting with guest room cleaning, and handling special projects such as deep cleaning tasks like flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Keep public areas spotless by maintaining cleanliness of designated areas including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces by performing daily cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and emptying trash
  • Delight guests by greeting them warmly, answering questions, and resolving service requests promptly
