This full-time position at DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Mission Valley requires individuals with open availability who can work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. The role involves diverse cleaning responsibilities such as dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming, mopping, carpet shampooing, window washing, and trash removal. Beyond routine cleaning, Public Area Attendants also participate in deep cleaning projects, including mattress flipping, furniture moving, and floor waxing, to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
In addition to housekeeping duties, Public Area Attendants serve as frontline ambassadors for the hotel by greeting guests warmly and responding to their questions or service requests promptly. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
- Open availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties
- Keep public areas spotless by maintaining cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and emptying trash
- Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and resolve service requests promptly
- Assist in guest room cleaning and fulfill service requests when needed
