As a Public Area Attendant at Hilton, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that guests experience the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout the hotel’s public spaces. This role goes beyond traditional cleaning duties by emphasizing the importance of hospitality and guest satisfaction. Your daily tasks include maintaining immaculate common areas such as restrooms, hallways, elevators, offices, and event spaces through thorough cleaning activities like dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal. You also engage directly with guests by greeting them warmly, responding to their inquiries, and resolving service requests promptly. Supporting the housekeeping team by assisting with guest room cleaning and fulfilling additional requests is another key aspect of the role. Occasionally, you will take on special projects such as deep cleaning tasks involving mattress flipping, furniture moving, and floor waxing.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality or cleaning services preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and lift moderately heavy items
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards

  • Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and resolve service requests promptly
  • Assist housekeeping operations by supporting guest room cleaning and fulfilling service requests when needed
  • Perform special projects including periodic deep cleaning tasks like flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors
