The company is dedicated to growing talent from within, offering clear career advancement opportunities and comprehensive benefits to ensure employee satisfaction and success.
The role available at HHM Hotels is for a Public Area Cleaner, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public spaces within the hotel. This position is vital in upholding the high standards HHM Hotels sets for guest service and sustainability. The Public Area Cleaner ensures that all hard and textile surfaces, restrooms, elevators, and other shared areas are spotless, organized, and inviting for guests. This role also includes responding to guest room requests and adhering to all safety and environmental protocols.
Compensation for this role ranges from $17.50 to $18.50 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive wages for both full-time and part-time employees. The work environment can be physically demanding, requiring standing for long periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, and other physical activities. In addition, employees must be willing to work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends.
At HHM Hotels, employees have a defined growth path beginning with the Public Area Cleaner role progressing through positions such as Room Inspector, Housekeeping Supervisor, and ultimately Executive Housekeeper. This career trajectory highlights the company's investment in employee development and advancement opportunities.
This role demands meticulous attention to detail with cleaning tasks such as removing fingerprints from internal windows and doorways, spot-cleaning carpets, emptying waste receptacles, and ensuring all surfaces are free of debris and smudges. The Public Area Cleaner must utilize cleaning chemicals safely according to Material Safety Data Sheets and comply with Health and Safety standards including OSHA guidelines and protection against blood borne pathogens. Sustainable cleaning practices are a priority, consistent with HHM Hotels’ EarthView program, which underlines their environmental stewardship.
Joining HHM Hotels means becoming part of a team that believes in People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It as core values guiding everyday work and service. Team members are supported with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k matching, daily pay options, and access to wellness programs and professional development. Employees also benefit from commuter transit programs, travel discounts, life insurance, and referral bonuses.
Those with a high school diploma or equivalent and previous related experience are encouraged to apply, although prior experience is preferred but not mandatory, reflecting HHM Hotels' focus on training and development. The role is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy contributing to guest satisfaction, and want to grow within a dynamic hospitality company dedicated to excellence and sustainability.
