The Public Space Cleaner role is a vital position within the housekeeping and maintenance team, responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the hotel's public areas. This role plays a key part in upholding the establishment's reputation by ensuring all public spaces—including floors, elevators, lobbies, hallways, vending areas, stairwells, service areas, and workout facilities—are kept spotless and inviting. The Public Space Cleaner uses specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals to polish floors and windows, vacuum carpets, remove gum spots, and eliminate litter and dust. In addition, this position supports the housekeeping staff by assisting with room servicing tasks such as trash removal, bed stripping, and handling laundry. The role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to following operational procedures related to safety, equipment maintenance, and chemical use.

Working primarily indoors, candidates for this role should expect to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting weights up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, squatting, crouching, and tolerance to exposure from dust and cleaning chemicals. The position requires availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, to meet the hotel’s operational needs.
