The role is a part-time position focused primarily on maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas within the facility. Scheduled hours include weekend coverage on Saturdays and Sundays from 4 PM to 11 PM, and weekday shifts on Monday and Tuesday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The compensation for this role is $19.00 per hour. This position is essential in upholding the guest service and sustainability standards established by the organization, ensuring that all public-facing areas are inviting, clean, and organized.

As a member of the housekeeping team, the successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all hard and textile surfaces, restrooms, and internal windows and doorways, ensuring they are free of fingerprints and smudges. The role also involves cleaning furniture, hard surfaces, floors, carpets, elevators, and emptying waste receptacles in public areas. Additionally, the employee will be required to clean the employee break room and restrooms. The use of chemicals must follow safety directions, and familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) is critical. Adhering to proper procedures concerning bloodborne pathogens and sustainability practices aligned with the company's EarthView program is an important aspect of this role.

Safety is a paramount concern, and the candidate must practice safe work habits by wearing protective safety equipment and following OSHA standards. The role may include other duties as requested by management, providing a dynamic and varied work environment. The job requires physical activity including standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Job Duties

  • Clean all hard and textile surfaces and restrooms within public space
  • respond to guest room requests

  • clean any carpet spots
  • ensure that all surfaces of elevators are clean and free of debris
  • empty all waste receptacles in public areas

  • follow procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens
  • follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to EarthView program
