Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push or pull up to 200 pounds
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the facility
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Effective communication skills for guest and employee interaction
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and hotel policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Customer service orientation with a passion for guest satisfaction
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving heavy objects
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Clean and service assigned areas according to established standards and procedures including public restrooms, lobby areas, public phone and vending areas
- Strip and wax floors as needed, clean and polish all furniture, railings, table tops, mirrors
- Report to supervisor regarding needed repairs or unsafe conditions
- Respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimize waste
- Report and log lost and found items according to procedures
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and other duties as assigned
