Job Description

This opportunity is with a reputable hospitality company known for its commitment to excellence and sustainability in guest services. The company has built a strong reputation in the hotel industry by fostering a culture that emphasizes not only superior cleanliness and maintenance but also environmental responsibility through various sustainability programs. As an integral part of the hospitality sector, this company offers an inviting and professional environment dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Their focus on continuous improvement and personal development is reflected in the available career progression paths within their housekeeping division.

The role being offered is for a Public Area Attendant, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all public spaces within the hotel. This position works closely with guest service standards and adheres to sustainability practices to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment. The compensation for this role is $19.50 per hour, ranking it as a competitive hourly wage in the hospitality cleaning sector. This position is vital as it contributes directly to the first impressions guests have when entering the establishment.

Responsibilities include cleaning hard and textile surfaces, restrooms, and all public areas, ensuring that windows, doorways, and furniture remain spotless and well-organized. The role also involves handling waste disposal, maintaining the employee break room and restroom, and following safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment and adherence to OSHA standards. The position requires individuals to apply cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, aligned with Material Safety Data Sheets and bloodborne pathogen protection procedures.

Growth within this role is clearly defined and supported. Employees often begin as Public Area Attendants and progress to roles such as Room Inspector, Housekeeping Supervisor, and eventually Executive Housekeeper. This career path provides opportunities for skill advancement, leadership development, and increased responsibility, making it an attractive option for those seeking long-term careers in hospitality operations.

The role's physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Flexibility in working hours is essential as schedules vary and may include weekends and holidays. This ensures that the hotel can maintain its high standards at all times, meeting the fluctuating needs of guests.

Overall, the position caters to individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a clean and comfortable environment. The company values employees who embrace their core beliefs: "People Are Our Capability," "Hearts That Serve," "Only Excellence," "Stay Nimble," and "Own It." These cultural pillars emphasize teamwork, dedication, quality, adaptability, and accountability, providing a meaningful and motivating workplace atmosphere.

If you are passionate about hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and desire a role that offers steady growth along with the satisfaction of improving guest experiences, this Public Area Attendant position presents an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team.
