Job Description

This opportunity is with a reputable hospitality company that values excellence, agility, and personal accountability. The company is committed to providing exceptional guest experiences while promoting sustainable and safe work practices. As a well-established player in the service industry, this organization maintains high standards of cleanliness and care across all of its public spaces. It offers a clear growth path for employees, with opportunities to progress from entry-level roles such as Room Inspector to supervisory and executive housekeeping positions. This demonstrates a commitment to career development within the hospitality sector. The company prioritizes a culture where people are regarded as core capabilities, emphasizing hearts that serve, maintaining only excellence in all endeavors, staying nimble in response to changing demands, and taking ownership of one’s responsibilities.

The role being offered here is a key housekeeping position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all public areas within the hotel. The compensation for this role ranges from $17.50 to $18.50 per hour, representing competitive pay in the field. Responsibilities include ensuring all hard surfaces, textile surfaces, restroom areas, and floors are spotlessly cleaned and free of debris. The role requires responding promptly to guest room requests and maintaining the high visual standards expected by the establishment. It also entails cleaning internal windows and doorways thoroughly, ensuring that fingerprints and smudges do not detract from the guest experience. Passenger elevators must be maintained in pristine condition, with all surfaces cleaned and debris removed consistently throughout the day.

Additional duties include emptying waste receptacles in public areas, maintaining the cleanliness of employee break rooms and restrooms, and using cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with established Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). The position requires adherence to protocols for protection against blood borne pathogens, as well as compliance with sustainability practices under the company's EarthView program. The company emphasizes a focus on safe work habits, requiring employees to wear protective safety equipment and observe MSDS and OSHA standards at all times. This role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. It also requires flexibility in work scheduling, which may include holidays and weekends, reflecting the hospitality industry's dynamic nature.

Working in this position offers the chance to contribute to a respected hospitality organization that values its workforce and operates with integrity and care. Employees are supported to grow within the company, with clear advancement paths and a culture fostering respect, support, and professional development. Overall, this position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, physically capable, committed to safety and sustainability, and eager to provide exceptional service in a guest-facing environment.
