Job Description
Tilray Brands, Inc. is a leading global lifestyle and consumer packaged goods company operating across Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and Latin America. As a pioneer intersecting the cannabis, beverage, wellness, and entertainment industries, Tilray elevates lives by creating moments of connection for its diverse customers. Boasting a robust portfolio with over 40 brands across more than 20 countries, Tilray offers comprehensive cannabis products, hemp-based foods, and craft beverages. Tilray’s mission is centered on being the premier premium lifestyle company with innovative products that inspire joy, wellness, and memorable experiences, grounded in deep innovation and commitment to quality. As a Nasdaq and TSX-listed company, Tilray Brands continues to set the standard in the rapidly evolving cannabis and lifestyle sector.
Montauk Brewing Company, part of the Tilray family, is recognized for its coastal, laid-back craft beer experience that captures the essence of the East End of Long Island. Montauk Brewing is known for its vibrant, community-oriented atmosphere, offering craft beverages that embody the spirit of the coastal lifestyle with a strong emphasis on quality, creativity, and local activation. The Port Jefferson Taproom is the company’s latest expansion, bringing this distinctive Montauk coastal experience to a new community through an 800-square-foot beverage-only microbrewery license location, thoughtfully designed for elevating consumer engagement without a traditional kitchen by leveraging innovative partnerships and curated events.
The role of Pub Events and General Manager for the Port Jefferson Taproom is a pivotal leadership position that requires full operational ownership of the site, including the Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility, team management, programming, and marketing activation. This position demands a dynamic leader who can extend the Montauk Brewing brand’s renowned “Come as you are” experience to a fresh market, while creatively navigating the unique challenges of a beverage-only microbrewery. The manager spearheads event programming such as live music, collaborations, beer releases, and community-driven activities, curating local vendor partnerships including food trucks and pop-ups under a Bring Your Own Food (BYOF) policy to augment the guest experience.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial, community-focused leader who thrives on building new venues from the ground up. The General Manager is charged with building a local brand presence, optimizing operational processes including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, POS systems, and compliance with a range of local, state, and federal regulations relevant to the microbrewery license. The position also involves close collaboration with various teams including Brand, Supply Chain, Events, and Finance to maximize site performance and align with broader corporate goals.
This full-time role comes with a competitive annual base salary range of $65,000 to $72,000, along with eligibility for an annual bonus. The company offers comprehensive benefits including paid time off, 401K, medical, dental, and vision coverage, performance incentives, employee assistance programs, and opportunities for growth and internal mobility. Working at Tilray means joining an innovative, diverse, and inclusive workplace committed to employment equity and sustainable business practices. The role requires availability for flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support event programming demands. Candidates with a passion for craft beer, experience in hospitality management, and a self-starter mentality eager to lead a new site launch will find this role especially rewarding and impactful.
