The role of Night Auditor is pivotal within SHG’s operations. The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the crucial end-of-day accounting functions that ensure operational accuracy and financial integrity. This includes auditing the daily guest ledger, posting daily room rates and room taxes, and verifying guest folio charges. This position not only fulfills accounting duties but also provides essential front desk services during night shifts, checking guests in and out, booking reservations, and resolving guest concerns effectively. The Night Auditor’s responsibilities extend to security monitoring, such as overseeing the hotel’s camera system to maintain guest and staff safety, and ensuring the lobby environment remains inviting and well-maintained throughout the night.

A successful Night Auditor with SHG must demonstrate strong multitasking skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. Basic accounting and math skills are essential, as is familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS).
