The part-time Showroom Usher role focuses on delivering exceptional guest services to patrons attending various live performances and events held within the casino showroom. This position requires a professional demeanor combined with strong interpersonal skills to assist guests effectively. Key responsibilities include guiding guests to their seats, responding to inquiries, resolving disputes under casino policies, and ensuring an overall pleasant experience. The Showroom Usher will collaborate closely with internal departments, including security and event coordination, and take direction from the Showroom Coordinator. The role demands attention to detail in a fast-paced environment where guest satisfaction is paramount. This position offers an hourly wage starting at $17.31 and includes valuable experience working in the entertainment and hospitality sector. To qualify, candidates need a high school diploma or GED equivalent, excellent guest service skills, and the capability to work various shifts including holidays. Physical requirements necessitate standing or sitting for long periods, tolerance to a smoke-filled venue, and the ability to read in low-light settings. Special certifications such as SAR, Sexual Harassment training, Title 31 compliance, and Customer Service certification are mandatory. Additionally, employees are required to obtain a Class III B gaming license through the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug screening is mandatory; however, marijuana use is not disqualifying unless the role involves driving.
