The role at hand is a Retail Store Associate position located at 2201 Cottman Avenue #41 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The primary purpose of this role is to support front-end store operations by bagging items at checkout, placing bags into carts, restocking returned merchandise, retrieving shopping carts from the parking lot, vacuuming front-end areas, restocking coolers, and collecting trash. This position demands a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and a safe, welcoming environment while providing helpful and courteous service to customers.

Team members in this role are expected to be proactive in reviewing their work schedules, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available, and following personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Duties also include collecting and properly disposing of trash, operating compactor machinery, performing hourly clean sweeps to maintain tidy floors and work areas, and organizing shopping carts efficiently. Flexibility to perform additional tasks assigned by management is essential.

Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, stand or walk for the majority of the shift, and perform job cycles that demand continual maximum physical effort. Shift lengths may vary, with a minimum of a 4-hour shift depending on business needs. The role requires employees to uphold company standards regarding appearance, safety, and performance, including completing a probationary period of 30 to 60 days.
