Job Description

Located across Florida, MetroLagoons features four stunning resort-style lagoons where guests can indulge in a wide variety of water adventures, enjoy swim-up bars, relax in luxurious cabanas, and attend community events that foster social connections. Currently, MetroLagoons is hiring part-time bartenders for the 2026 Spring and Summer Seasons. This opportunity is perfect for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service. The lagoons are open from morning to night during the peak season, requiring candidates to be flexible with their availability, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Training and certification in food and beverage safety will be provided to ensure all team members meet legal and company standards.

The role of a bartender at MetroLagoons is integral to the guest experience. Successful bartenders will demonstrate pride in their work by maintaining attentive, friendly, and sanitary service that makes guests feel valued and well cared for. This position demands strong skills in mixing both classic and innovative cocktails that exceed guest expectations while adhering to legal requirements and company policies. Bartenders will be responsible for promoting a positive atmosphere, interacting with guests to take orders and offer recommendations, and maintaining inventory and compliance with food and beverage regulations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • at least 18 years of age (21+ preferred)
  • food and beverage safety certification (training provided if needed)
  • at least 2 years of bartender experience preferred
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • at least 18 years of age (21+ preferred)
  • food and beverage safety certifications (provided if needed)
  • previous bartender experience required with 2 years preferred
  • excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
  • outstanding communication, customer service, and cash handling skills
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • experience using Focus or similar POS system a plus
  • energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable
  • flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work outside in all weather elements
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service and promote positive guest experience
  • prepare and serve both non-alcohol and alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests
  • interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
  • assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • plan and present bar menu
  • check IDs to ensure appropriate customers meet legal drinking age
  • monitor guest consumption of alcohol, following all company and state guidelines
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • perform other duties as needed
