Job Description

MetroLagoons is a premier recreational destination recognized as one of the best lagoons in the United States, offering a vibrant and enjoyable environment where guests can relax, have fun, and create lasting memories. As a company dedicated to exceptional guest experiences, MetroLagoons combines the beauty of outdoor water attractions with excellent customer service to ensure every visitor feels valued and well cared for. The company creates not just a place for leisure, but an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and friendship, upholding equal opportunity employment without discrimination. Hiring for the 2026 Spring and Summer seasons, MetroLagoons is looking to add dynamic and customer-focused individuals to their team. With shifts available during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends, the company offers flexible scheduling designed to fit various lifestyles, making work-life balance achievable. The work environment is fast-paced, friendly, and energetic, perfectly suited for those who love meeting people and enjoy active roles in hospitality.

The role of a bartender at MetroLagoons is essential to maintaining the upbeat and welcoming atmosphere guests expect. This position requires an individual who takes pride in delivering attentive, friendly, and sanitary service. A good bartender not only prepares beverages but also forms an integral part of the guest experience, ensuring that visitors feel valued and eager to return. Bartenders at MetroLagoons craft both classic and innovative drinks tailored to customers’ preferences, promoting customer satisfaction and loyalty. Responsibilities include providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, interacting with customers to take orders, and making drink recommendations based on guest needs. Bartenders must check IDs to verify legal drinking age compliance and monitor alcohol consumption according to company and state guidelines, ensuring safe service. Additionally, they are responsible for managing inventory, restocking the bar, maintaining cleanliness, and complying with all food and beverage regulations. MetroLagoons supports employee growth by providing food and beverage safety certifications if needed and offering hands-on experience with popular POS systems. The role demands high energy, enthusiasm, reliability, and flexibility, including the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
