The role available is for a Cashier/Service Associate located at Hannaford's Store 08011 Front End in North Brookfield, Massachusetts. This is a retail operations position crucial to the day-to-day functioning of the store’s front-end processes. The job involves direct interaction with customers, providing prompt and courteous service, including handling various types of transactions such as cash, checks, electronic payments, gift cards, coupons, WIC, refunds, lottery ticket sales, and Western Union services. The associate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all company policies and safety standards, and protecting company assets by securing the cash register and reporting any irregularities. Strong emphasis is placed on compliance with legal regulations, especially regarding the sale of restricted items like tobacco and alcoholic beverages and the verification of customer IDs.

The position requires the associate to have excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability and willingness to learn various technical aspects of the role, and the physical capability to stand for long periods, handle monetary transactions, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds at times. The training prerequisite involves completion of a Cashier/Service Associate training packet.
