The Receptionist role at Porters Neck Village is a hospitality-focused position that plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities within the community. This role is primarily responsible for welcoming residents, visitors, prospective employees, suppliers, vendors, and outside service providers in a friendly and professional manner. As the first point of contact for anyone entering the community, the Receptionist sets the tone for the overall experience, making guests and residents feel valued and appreciated. Working hours for this position include every Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM, with additional shift opportunities available to cover for other receptionists when needed.
The responsibilities of the Receptionist extend beyond greeting and receptionist duties; it includes managing telephone communications, solving issues presented by residents and other parties in a manner that achieves organizational goals while also ensuring individual satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle potentially difficult situations with professionalism and tact to prevent escalation. Additionally, the Receptionist is responsible for managing the receipt of delivery packages, documenting them properly, and notifying residents promptly. They also assist with preparing maintenance work orders and provide support to the Leadership Team on special projects and assignments.

Job Duties
- Provide ongoing telephone coverage
- Solve issues presented by residents, guests, vendors, and suppliers in a manner so that both the organizational objectives are met, as well as the individuals feel they were served appropriately
- Keep difficult situations from escalating
- Accept delivery packages, document receipt of packages in log book, and notify the resident (recipient) of delivery
- Prepare maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff
- Assist the Leadership Team with projects/assignments
