Job Description
Everlasting Services is a reputable healthcare facility providing specialized care and support to individuals with traumatic brain injuries. As a residential living facility, Everlasting Services is dedicated to offering compassionate, respectful, person-centered care that enhances the quality of life for its residents. The organization prides itself on creating a safe, welcoming environment that fosters healing, dignity, and independence while supporting the unique needs of each individual. They employ a multidisciplinary approach to care, involving clinical professionals, support staff, and administrative personnel working collaboratively towards the shared mission of well-being and recovery for those they serve.
This role of Receptionist is vital to the smooth functioning of the front desk and overall operations at Everlasting Services. Serving as the primary point of contact for residents, families, visitors, staff, and external partners, the Receptionist holds a key position in establishing a welcoming and professional atmosphere. With an hourly wage of $17.00, this position falls under the Administration / Front Desk department and reports directly to the Office Supervisor. The Receptionist is tasked with managing front desk communication, performing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties, and ensuring that all activities comply with safety, security, and confidentiality standards.
In addition to greeting and assisting visitors and residents with courtesy and professionalism, the Receptionist plays a central role in maintaining clear and accurate communication between various stakeholders. They are responsible for overseeing visitor sign-in and sign-out procedures, answering phone calls, managing mail and packages, and maintaining records and logs systematically. The individual must uphold resident confidentiality at all times and comply fully with HIPAA regulations.
The position also involves supporting families and residents, including patients who may experience cognitive, communication, or behavioral challenges. Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity are critical attributes. The Receptionist communicates resident needs or concerns to clinical or support staff, coordinates the daily activities board updates, and makes intercom announcements as necessary.
Safety and security are paramount; the Receptionist adheres to facility protocols, monitors access to the premises, reports any suspicious activity, and consistently contributes to a secure environment. Furthermore, the role demands professional conduct, including a calm and supportive demeanor and effective collaboration with team members across disciplines.
Everlasting Services values the continued professional development and certification of its employees. The Receptionist must hold current credentials such as a two-part TB test, First Aid/CPR certification, Arizona Level 1 fingerprint clearance card, and Food Handler certification. Additionally, the ability and willingness to obtain Memory Care certification within 30 days of hire is required.
The work schedule is part-time, requiring availability on Wednesdays and Fridays from 4 PM to 8 PM, including holidays. The role involves the physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift light office materials. The environment may expose employees to residents with diverse cognitive and emotional needs; thus, a compassionate approach is essential.
Everlasting Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing a discrimination-free workplace. The organization's inclusive culture encourages applicants from all backgrounds and identities to apply, ensuring equal consideration for every qualified candidate.
