Legends Global currently has an excellent and immediate opening for a Part-Time Cook at the El Paso Convention & Performing Arts Center. The position is ideal for individuals who take pride in culinary arts and maintaining high standards of food preparation within energetic event settings. Under immediate supervision, the Part-Time Cook will be tasked with various duties connected to scheduled events, including both skilled and unskilled job functions related to food handling and kitchen maintenance. This role is a crucial component of the catering and concessions operations, with responsibilities encompassing food preparation, cleaning and sanitation of kitchen areas, proper food storage, and assisting with the assembly and plating of catered meals.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- at least two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to obtain Food Handler's card within 30 days of hire

Job Duties
- Food handling and preparation for concession and catered events
- cleaning of equipment and utensils used to prepare food and beverages
- cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and appliances
- maintain an organized and sanitary workstation
- follow approved recipes and production standards
- properly label and date food items for storage
- maintain and organize storage rooms, refrigerators and freezers
- minimize waste by controlling overage and usage
- assemble and complete final production of hot and cold food items
- assist with plating of catered meals
- perform other duties as assigned
