Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • physical ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing
  • professional and neat appearance
  • excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • free of communicable disease
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • ability to relate to residents and associates diplomatically
  • successful completion of drug testing and criminal background check
  • physical ability to bend, stand, lift, stoop, sit, walk, stretch
  • ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds
  • adherence to all policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

Job Duties

  • Administer or follow written and oral directions
  • communicate and relate to community residents
  • assist in set-ups and dining room service
  • take orders and serve food appropriately
  • set-up and deliver trays upon chef or cook request
  • bus tables and trays as necessary
  • pour and cover beverages and assist in food preparation and covering
  • assist in proper care and use of kitchen and dining room equipment
  • clean all work areas as directed
  • work at a steady pace to meet demands
  • cooperate with dining room associates for pleasant and efficient operation
  • understand and explain menu to residents
  • act as liaison between residents and food service department
  • observe infection control procedures
  • follow residents' rights policies
  • adhere to facility safety programs
  • maintain neat, clean appearance and dress code
  • work scheduled shifts and demonstrate dependability
  • perform other duties as necessary
