This dedication is reflected in their culture and operational standards, which prioritize resident well-being and high-quality service.
The role offered is a full-time Server position within the dining services department, crucial to maintaining pleasant and efficient meal service for senior residents. This position requires individuals who can make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment, such as a restaurant style setting, and who are able to work primarily from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm on three to four nights per week, including occasional weekends. The position specifically offers no late nights as shifts end by 7:30 pm, which can appeal to candidates seeking a work-life balance. The pay rate is competitive, up to $22.00 per hour, and includes full-time benefits like paid time off, holiday pay, health and dental insurance, a 401K retirement plan with employer match, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, referral bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and access to an employee assistance program.
As a Server at The Highlands, the individual will play an important role in preparing and serving meals to senior residents, ensuring that food is served according to dietary standards and that the dining room operates efficiently and pleasantly. Key responsibilities include taking customer orders, serving food and beverages, assisting in dining room setup and cleanup, and acting as a liaison between residents and the food service department. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the Server must relate effectively to residents and other staff members. The role also demands attention to infection control procedures and adherence to safety programs.
This opportunity is ideal for those who have experience or an interest in food service and enjoy working in a community-focused environment. The Highlands encourages candidates who are professional, dependable, and motivated by empathy and customer service excellence. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and resident satisfaction, the Server will contribute meaningfully to the overall quality of life for senior residents while gaining valuable experience in the hospitality and healthcare sectors.
