As a distinguished Illinois agency and a recipient of the National Gold Medal Award for excellence in park and recreation management, the district prides itself on maintaining 172 parks and 48 miles of interconnected regional trails spanning approximately 2,500 acres of parkland. Nestled along the scenic shores of the Fox River, the park district is committed to fostering vibrant and healthy lifestyles by providing fun, safe, and environmentally and fiscally responsible recreational opportunities. The Fox Valley Park District is deeply invested in the quality of life for its community members, continually striving to offer engaging programming and outstanding customer service that meet the diverse needs of its residents. The district truly embodies its motto: "Where Fun Begins!"

The part-time Guest Services Representative position at the Vaughan Athletic Center in Aurora, Illinois, plays a vital role in supporting the park district's mission by facilitating positive interactions between the public and the district's services. This role is designed for an individual who values responsibility, reliability, and strong customer service skills and is capable of supporting a fast-paced environment. The position requires working primarily on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with occasional afternoon shifts and mandatory weekend shifts that vary throughout the day. Candidates should demonstrate solid general office skills including filing, copying, and basic math skills, along with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Maintaining discretion and confidentiality is paramount, as this role often involves handling sensitive information.
