It is recognized as an Illinois Distinguished Agency and has earned the nation’s highest honor as a National Gold Medal Award winner for excellence in park and recreation management. The district proudly maintains 172 parks and 48 miles of interconnected regional trails, spanning an impressive 2,500 acres of parkland along the scenic Fox River. The Fox Valley Park District is committed to promoting vibrant, healthy lifestyles by offering fun, safe, and environmentally responsible recreational opportunities to its community. It is a place where recreation and nature come together to foster a sense of community and well-being.

The Fox Valley Park District is currently seeking a part-time Guest Services Representative to join its team at the EOLA Community Center located in Aurora, Illinois. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service in a recreational environment and interacting with the public in a positive, friendly manner. The position calls for working evening hours from 5 pm to 9 pm on weeknights, full daytime hours on weekends from 8 am to 5 pm, and occasionally on weekdays as needed. The starting pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour, and it offers part-time benefits.

As a Guest Services Representative, you will operate as the face of the EOLA Community Center by warmly greeting visitors and assisting them with their inquiries and needs. You will be responsible for handling registrations for various programs using the RecTrac Registration System, processing payments, and issuing receipts. Administrative support is also a vital part of the role, as you will assist recreation staff and the Facility Manager by performing clerical tasks, including answering phones, typing, filing, copying, and managing confidential information with discretion. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with using technology, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as learning new software specific to the district's operations. This position requires a professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills to maintain the excellent service standards of the district.

Joining the Fox Valley Park District team means becoming part of an organization that values community engagement, inclusivity, and operational excellence. The district offers a supportive work environment where employees contribute to the health and happiness of the community through meaningful recreation programs and services. This part-time opportunity is well-suited for those seeking flexible work hours with the chance to make a positive impact while gaining experience within a leading park district organization.
