Scheduled from Monday to Friday, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the General Cleaner position is perfect for individuals who are dedicated, reliable, and take pride in their work. The primary responsibility of this role involves performing a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene and overall cleanliness across the company’s premises. From sweeping, mopping, and dusting to vacuuming, the General Cleaner will handle all aspects of cleaning inside the facility with a meticulous approach.
The role also involves cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, emptying trash and recycling bins regularly, sanitizing frequently touched surfaces such as desks and door handles, monitoring cleaning supplies to ensure adequate stock, and reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Furthermore, the General Cleaner will be responsible for setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork in the company’s day-to-day activities. The ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers, is required to efficiently complete tasks.
Physical demands such as lifting and carrying weights between 25 to 50 pounds are part of the job, highlighting the need for physical fitness and stamina. Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous cleaning experience an asset

Job Duties
- perform general cleaning duties including sweeping mopping dusting and vacuuming all areas of the facility
- clean and disinfect restrooms including toilets sinks and fixtures
- empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins regularly
- wipe down and sanitize surfaces such as desks countertops and door handles
- monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed
- operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers
- report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager
- assist with setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings
- follow established safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks
- adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards
- perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
