One of its key cultural hubs is the Rohnert Park Performing Arts Center, an important venue that hosts a variety of performances, events, and community activities throughout the year. The city prides itself on the high-quality services it offers and its dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who visit its facilities. The Performing Arts Center serves as a focal point of entertainment and education, fostering artistic expression and community engagement.
The City of Rohnert Park is currently seeking to hire three Part-Time Front-of-House (FOH) Customer Service Representatives to join their team. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy interacting with diverse groups of people. The role centers around providing exceptional customer service during arts center performances, and may include tasks related to box office operations and house management duties. The FOH Customer Service Representatives contribute significantly to the overall experience of patrons by overseeing lobby services, concession sales, ushering, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of event spaces. As representatives of the city and the arts center, FOH staff embody professionalism, enthusiasm, and a passion for the performing arts.
The position involves both evening and weekend work in accordance with event schedules, making it well-suited for those seeking flexible, part-time opportunities within a cultural setting. Under general supervision from the Performing Arts Center Manager, incumbents perform a wide range of customer service and administrative duties critical to smooth event operations. This role also offers opportunities to engage with various aspects of event coordination, including managing volunteers, handling ticket sales through a computerized box office system, and supporting special events. A unique aspect of the role is the possibility of serving as Disaster Service Workers in cases of emergencies, which underscores the city's commitment to safety and readiness.
Candidates for Front-of-House Customer Service Representative roles will find this position rewarding due to its combination of customer interaction, organizational responsibilities, and involvement in the performing arts community. The city supports its employees through competitive pay rates and benefits such as paid sick leave accrual, overtime pay for holidays, and additional hourly supplements for overnight work shifts. Employees also enjoy access to facilities like the Callinan Sports and Fitness Center.
Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who possess strong interpersonal skills, basic technological proficiency, and an interest in the performing arts. The role requires attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a customer-first attitude. The City of Rohnert Park is committed to equity and inclusion in its hiring process, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply and contribute to the rich tapestry of services offered at the Performing Arts Center.
