Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service or deli experience beneficial
- Ability to stand and walk up to 55% of shift and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions including freezer environment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- Willingness to complete required trainings including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Right-to-Know
- Must follow company policies and procedures as outlined in handbook
Job Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements with or without accommodation
- Must meet company performance standards including regular attendance
- Must be able or willing to learn to use deli equipment and tools
Job Duties
- Review work schedule and prepare equipment and supplies
- Comply with personal protective equipment requirements
- Make sandwiches, subs, roast or fry chicken and appetizers
- Heat soup, make pizza, and transfer deli food to case containers
- Label and merchandise food according to plan-o-gram
- Serve customers by slicing, weighing, wrapping, and labeling deli products
- Manage grab-and-go lunch meat and cheese sections
- Produce products for sales floor warmers and hot bar
- Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters
- Track and record product loss using known loss tracking
- Mix, roll, and cook pizza using oven
- Assist customers and portion deli food
- Roast and fry chicken, including maintaining equipment
- Break down and clean equipment every 4 hours
- Order and produce smoked products as needed
- Perform record keeping and follow company safety protocols
- Report accidents and hazards, and maintain safe work environment
