The position at CURRENT is designed to assist the Outlet Manager and Restaurant Servers in maintaining a clean, inviting environment and providing guests with outstanding service. This role is essential in ensuring smooth dining operations by quickly clearing and resetting tables, maintaining station cleanliness, and attending to guests by providing beverages, bread, and butter. Staff members in this role are also responsible for transporting dirty tableware to the dishwashing area to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards. This hourly position offers a competitive wage of $18.00 per hour and does not include tips or service charges. While a discretionary performance bonus is not eligible for this role, CURRENT emphasizes a collaborative environment where team members contribute to an exceptional guest experience. The position requires availability to work regularly and the physical capability to handle tasks such as lifting and moving items with or without reasonable accommodation. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Effective communication skills
- Physical ability to lift and move weights as required
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 150 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, and the public
Job Duties
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
- Promptly and consistently reset all service ware
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, and condiments
- Serve guests with beverages, bread, and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
- Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
