Job Description
The hiring establishment is a well-regarded senior living community known for fostering a culture of caring—a place where seniors choose to live and employees desire to work. This community is situated on a sprawling 50-plus acre campus featuring state-of-the-art facilities that include skilled nursing, rehabilitation and wellness services, assisted living, and independent living options. The community began as a single nursing home and has since expanded its services and facilities to become a leading provider in senior care, all while maintaining a low nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure quality and personalized care for its residents. They emphasize a supportive and enriching environment not only for the seniors they serve but also for their employees, offering competitive wages, benefits starting after just 30 days, and unique advantages such as on-demand pay, low-cost lunches, gym and indoor pool memberships, shift differentials, and a true work-life balance. Joining this team provides an opportunity for growth and being part of a community that values compassion and dedication.
The current role being offered is that of a Dishwasher, a vital position within the community's food service department. The Dishwasher holds the important responsibility of maintaining cleanliness and support within the kitchen and dining areas to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service for residents and visitors. This role involves tasks that include bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, as well as resetting dining areas to prepare for the next shift. The Dishwasher also plays a crucial role in cleaning kitchen machines and appliances, unloading and storing deliveries, sweeping and mopping floors, and managing waste disposal to uphold a sanitary environment. Given the high standards of food safety and service at this senior living community, the Dishwasher must demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills and adhere strictly to food safety codes and procedures. Physically demanding aspects of the job include continuous standing and walking, frequent stooping, reaching, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. However, reasonable accommodations are available to ensure the job is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
This position is perfect for individuals who are team-oriented and willing to assist restaurant and kitchen staff in various supportive tasks as needed. The employer explicitly states a commitment to lawful practices, requiring adherence to all federal, state, and local laws. The Dishwasher role offers an excellent chance to join a growing community that prioritizes quality care and employee satisfaction alike. It is suited for candidates with at least a high school diploma or GED, with previous experience in a similar role being preferable but not mandatory. The role provides a supportive workplace with benefits and competitive wages, contributing to both personal and professional growth within a compassionate and dynamic environment.
