The company operates multiple locations supplying a range of products to wholesale accounts, vendor locations, and catering events, highlighting the diverse logistics needs that support its operations.
The Truck Driver position at Outpost is integral to the company’s logistics department and plays a critical role in maintaining smooth operations and timely delivery of goods. This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities and is unionized, with hourly pay reflecting the responsibilities and skills required. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Truck Driver is entrusted with the safe and efficient transportation of materials and products to various Outpost sites and client locations.

The Truck Driver must prepare and load the truck securely for deliveries, maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep, and comply with all traffic laws while driving courteously and professionally. Additionally, the role requires maintenance of truck logs and regular communication with supervisors to receive and execute delivery instructions accurately.
The work environment can be dynamic and challenging, involving exposure to moderate to loud noises from equipment, moving mechanical parts, and varying outdoor weather conditions ranging from cold to hot climates, reflecting the job's physical demands. The role also involves job-related travel within Southeast Wisconsin, offering an engaging work scope for individuals comfortable with regional driving.
Beyond driving duties, the Truck Driver supports various logistics functions including assisting with product ordering, merchandise stocking at locations, light maintenance, and janitorial tasks to ensure operational efficiency. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the driver may need to adjust to changing conditions to facilitate product delivery. The role also embodies Outpost’s values of teamwork, positivity, and adherence to company policies, requiring the employee to maintain a professional demeanor and a clean, organized work area.
Candidates for this role must possess outstanding customer service skills, a current driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to perform basic computer functions. They should be capable of working independently and as part of a team while demonstrating organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities in English. With a focus on safety and professionalism, the Truck Driver must be aware of their surroundings at all times and adhere strictly to company systems and procedures.
This detailed and multifaceted role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a meaningful position within a cooperative that values community impact, employee growth, and reliable, efficient logistics operations.
