Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or deli experience a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Capability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including walking and lifting
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- Willingness to work minimum shifts of 4 hours or more depending on business needs
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including cut-resistant gloves
- Must follow company dress code
- Must complete company training courses promptly
Job Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements with or without accommodation
- Must be able to learn to use equipment and tools necessary for the job
- Must complete and follow Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Right to Know training
- Must demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits
Job Duties
- Provide quality customer service
- Receive, process, prepare, wrap, slice, weigh, mark, and package deli products
- Maintain proper shelf, case, and display conditions including stocking, cleaning, straightening, and rotating product
- Maintain proper cooler conditions including coding, rotating, organizing, and cleaning cases of product
- Maintain proper prep area conditions including cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations related to deli area operations
- Maintain safe and clean sales floor conditions including sweeping and mopping
- Provide friendly courteous service, answer customer questions, make product recommendations, and promote items through suggestive selling
- Dress according to company policy and maintain neat appearance
- Complete all required training courses
