We are seeking a bright and personable Concierge to join our team at Franklin Park Sonterra. This role is pivotal as the first point of contact for guests, residents, and their families, both in person and over the phone. The Concierge position is designed for an individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment and enjoys a variety of duties that contribute to making a difference in people’s lives daily. The role encompasses administrative responsibilities supporting multiple departments, including marketing, maintenance, and resident services, requiring a high level of organizational skills and customer service excellence. The position offers a rotating schedule to accommodate various shifts, and the starting wage will be determined based on the applicant’s experience.

As a Concierge at Franklin Park Sonterra, you will be the welcoming face and reassuring voice for prospective residents and their families, ensuring their interactions with the community are positive and informative. Your duties will include answering phone calls promptly and professionally, managing mail and deliveries, assisting with resident activity registration, supporting marketing efforts, and responding to emergency situations with calmness and professionalism. This role demands a resourceful and personable individual capable of problem-solving and maintaining composure even in challenging situations. You will also play a crucial role in emergency response procedures, including liaising with emergency services and assisting with resident safety during critical incidents.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in customer service or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Answer phone in a prompt and professional manner
  • forward calls, provide requested information and/or take messages as needed
  • expedite sales/marketing calls
  • assist with outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries, including sorting and routing
  • assist with urgent staffing needs, may help calling part-time and PRN staff to cover vacant shifts
  • obtain information for residents, assist them to register for activities or services, and ensure that they sign out and back in during absences
  • support marketing department by providing approved information to callers, assisting with move-ins, entering data into electronic database
  • communicate service requests to maintenance department
  • ensure that reception areas are kept tidy
  • create forms, run reports, do internet research, and complete other clerical duties
  • monitor and respond to the emergency response system
  • maintain thorough familiarity with emergency response procedures
  • serve as communication liaison, phone 911 as needed
  • help direct and protect residents, up to and including evacuation
  • handle security issues that arise
  • remain courteous, professional and helpful during situations where residents or others may be upset or dissatisfied
  • resolve problem when possible, call on management to respond, and/or document incident/concern and report to administration
