This specific role is a retail bakery team member position based at the King Of Prussia store located at 310 S Henderson Road, Pennsylvania. It involves a wide range of bakery-related tasks, including mixing and coloring frosting, making and loading cones, frosting and decorating cakes, taking, completing, and storing orders, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. The role is hands-on and requires a commitment to proper food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring that all bakery products meet the company’s high standards before reaching customers. Team members are also responsible for tracking and recording losses accurately, which helps maintain operational efficiency.

The position requires team members to be diligent at the beginning of each shift by reviewing work schedules, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for the day's tasks, and complying with personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. It is a physically engaging position that demands lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, and standing or walking for the majority of the shift, reflecting the dynamic nature of the retail bakery environment.

Job Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have valid identification
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties satisfactorily and comply with policies and safety regulations
  • Must complete 60-day probationary period
  • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking majority of shift
  • Must be able to use or learn to use necessary equipment and tools
  • Must perform all job functions safely
  • Must meet company performance and attendance standards
  • Must agree to wear assigned uniform
  • Preferably have 1 year of work experience or technical training

Job Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Possess valid identification
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Completion of company introductory probationary period of 60 days
  • Meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position
  • Ability to use or learn to use required equipment and tools
  • Ability to perform all job functions safely
  • Meet company performance standards including regular attendance
  • Agree to wear proper assigned clothes and shoes
  • Preferably 1 year of work experience or technical training

Job Duties

  • Review work schedule and prepare for duties at the start of shift
  • Mix and color frosting
  • Make cones and load cones
  • Frost and decorate cakes with colored frosting
  • Take, complete, and store bakery orders
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters
  • Track and record loss
  • Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation practices
