The role offered is a retail store position focused on bakery operations within a GIANT Company store. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of related work or technical training preferred
  • ability to stand, walk and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • able to perform physical duties required for the role safely
  • comply with all company safety policies including wearing Personal Protective Equipment
  • meet the company's attendance and performance standards
  • able to communicate effectively in English
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
  • valid identification
  • complete the company probationary period of 60 days
  • agree to wear assigned uniform and footwear

Job Duties

  • Review the work schedule at the start of the shift
  • check equipment and supplies required for the scheduled work
  • comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • prepare for duties
  • mix frosting
  • color frosting
  • make cones
  • load cones
  • frost cakes
  • decorate cakes with colored frosting
  • take orders
  • complete orders
  • store orders in the bakery cooler
  • clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters
  • track and record loss
  • demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits
